On April 7, 1998, Citigroup was formed from one of the largest mergers by combining the banking giant Citicorp and Travelers Group financial conglomerate. It is the largest bank in the world by number of customers and the largest network of branches across the world. Citigroup has suffered huge losses during the global financial crisis of 2008 and has been rescued by the American government in November of that year by a massive bailout.

MICROSOFT (US)

Microsoft Corporation is a multinational computer technology company that develops and manufactures a wide range of software products for computing devices. Its most valuable products are the Microsoft Windows operating system and the Microsoft Office suite of productivity software.
In its first years, the corporation developed and sold BASIC interpreters for the Altair 8800. Microsoft dominated the operating system running the home computer with MS-DOS in the mid-1980s, followed by the line of Windows operating systems. Its products are all very successful in the desktop computer market.

On March 13, 1986 when the company began its Initial Public Offering, the stock price was $21. At the end of the first trading day, the stock had closed the share price to $ 28. In 1999 the stock price rose to about $ 119. The stock price increased when Windows Vista was released and fell during the economic crisis of 2008. In recent years, the share price of Microsoft was largely stable.

On January 25, 1964 Bill Bowerman and Philip Knight founded the company under the name Blue Ribbon Sports which became officially Nike, Inc. in 1978. Gazprom (English: Open Joint Stock Company "Gazprom", Russian: Открытое акционерное общество "Газпром" Otkrytoye aktsionernoye obshchestvo Gazprom) was established in 1989 when the Ministry of the Gas Industry of the Soviet Union transformed itself into a society, keeping intact all its assets. The company was privatized in part later, but the Russian government currently owns a controlling interest.
Gazprom is the largest the company in Russia and the largest extractor of natural gas in the world. Its activities accounted for 10% of Russia's gross domestic product in 2008.
The same year, the company produced 549.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas, equal to 17% of gas production worldwide. In addition, the company produced 32 million tons of oil and 10.9 million tons of gas.
